Diagnosis

Forewing speculum open below; mesoscutum and scutellum strongly convex, with two submedian and irregular rows of setae, mesoscutum with 3-5 pairs of setae and scutellum with 5-7 pairs; stigmal vein short; propodeum with several longitudinal ± incomplete carinae; first gastral tergite without carinae from basal carina (as in bimaculatus).

Colombia, Costa Rica, Trinidad & Tobago.

Biology

Aleyrodid (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) on sugar apple (Annona squamosa - Annonaceae), Aleurodicus sp. (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae), Orthezia insignis (Hemiptera: Ortheziidae). LaSalle & Schauff (1994) had doubts regarding the accuracy of the identification of Orthezia, instead a nymph of an unidentified Aleurodicinae was suggested as a possible host.
